About Lydia

Lydia Bailey joined the newly formed Miss Red Wing Committee in 1986. She served as an event chaperone during that time for ambassadors and candidates.

Lydia spearheaded the refurbishment of our parade float with her vision of turning it into a replica of our local “John Rich Park.” From her driveway, she oversaw the entire project as it progressed from an empty flatbed trailer to the finished Red Wing showpiece. That theme still remains with our float today.

Lydia lef the committee to raise her children, Elliot and Laure’n, but returned to the Red Wing Royal Ambassador Organization in 2016 and most recently filled the role as the Judge Hostess. She was a dedicated, hardworking, and fun loving committee member. She selflessly served on the committee for a total of 15 years.

We are deeply grateful for the time we spent together, for Lydia truly was a class act and friend. She brought us great joy and laughter, for her love of life was infectious.
